Josh and Salvage Past

Josh White, owner and founder of Tampa Bay Salvage was born in Philadelphia PA and grew up in South Jersey. The son of a “picker” and contractor he learned the ropes of architectural salvage through his family business Recycling The Past in Barnegat, NJ. Josh always had a love for antiques and woodworking and soon blossomed into a formidable carpenter and welder. He brings well over 20 years of experience in the field and has salvaged many notable homes, estates, churches, schools and public buildings. Josh received his Certification in JUNK and went to the School of Hard Knocks. His work led him to a brief television career as a “D-List” celebrity on DIY Networks’s “Operation Salvage” and “Dirty Jobs” along with Mike Rowe.

+ Jessica

After a brief stint in Florida after graduation from West Virginia University he met the love of his life and partner in crime…soon to be his wife. Her vision and marketing expertise brought a lot to the table as a savvy business partner. Her love of travel inspired him to travel the world to bring back unique finds from all over the world.

Relocating to Florida

After two young boys and the coldest winter on record, together the White family decided to relocate to Florida full time to set off on their own venture. Ten years later and still going strong! They pride themselves on the “Funky Finds” from Europe, Asia, Latin America and right here at home. Josh and Jessica make it their mission to find the most unique items to offer in the store.

They take pride in offering a different customer experience with a cool laid back vibe. From the artistic to eclectic and everything in between.

Giving Back to the Community

When not working Josh enjoys coaching baseball for the Tarpon Spring Little League, and fishing with his boys. Jessica enjoys doing volunteer work within the community. They volunteer for Homestead Senior Care with Santa’s for Seniors.
